The phone system reset is complete. Settings should be restored on all the phones at this time. We do notice a few phones that we will need to visit to reset manually. If you are still experiencing an issue by the close of business today, please send your request to itservicedesk@potsdam.edu
Technicians are currently working to reset impacted phones throughout the campus. Some critical areas such as University Police and Student Health have service restored. Your patience is appreciated as we work to resolve the outage.
Earlier this morning servers that support the phone system suffered a failure. Technicians responded and powered the servers back on. Some phones have had service restored however many still remain out of service. CTS is working with the support vendor to correct the issues as soon as possible. Please monitor this blog for further updates.
SICAS needs to install some patches in Prod Banner today. During the install and redeploy of resources, Banner/BearPAWS/BearDeN will be unavailable.
SUNY has provided an update and access to Brightspace, SUNY HR/Time Portal, SUNY BI, and other SUNY services are now restored.
SUNY (www.suny.edu) web servers are currently experiencing issues. At this time, Brightspace, SUNY HR/Time Portal, SUNY BI, and other SUNY services are effected and users are unable to access these services.
SUNY is aware of the issue and working on a resolution. We will post an update once services are restored.

The campus Internet service provider has announced they will be performing maintenance Sunday, September 11, 2022, between 3:00 am and 6:00 am. This necessary maintenance will result in brief outages during the window for Internet traffic to and from campus.
Internet service maintenance for Wednesday, August 24, 2022, is complete.
CTS Firewall maintenance is complete for Sunday, August 21, 2022.
CTS will be updating the campus firewall on Sunday, August 21, 2022 beginning at 8 am. Internet access will be intermittent during this time. An announcement will be made to this blog when maintenance is complete.
