Status Updater

Helios home directories will be going offline this evening at 11PM. The
maintenance window is scheduled for four hours to allow for file system
maintenance.

Maintenance is complete and all systems are back online.

Starting this evening at 9PM, there will be a four hour maintenance
window during which critical server equipment will experience brief
rolling outages. Services affected include the following: BearPAWS and
Banner.

SUNY Potsdam’s Voice Mail Services have been 100% restored.

Currently SUNY Potsdam’s Voice Mail System is currently not taking any calls. We do not expect services to be restored prior to the close of business on 01/14/09. Please check back later for any available updates.

The campus voicemail system is currently experiencing problems. CTS is aware of this issue, the vendor has been notified, and the problem is being worked on. There is no ETA at this time.

Starting this evening at 10PM, there will be a four hour maintenance
window during which critical server equipment will be moved. The
following services will experience rolling outages: Helios,
WWW/WwW2/WWW3, Email (IMAP/POP), and BearMail.

Helios will be going offline for a short maintenance window starting at 6PM.

Campus wireless access was inaccessible for approximately 10 minutes
this morning due to a core electronics issue. The affected piece of
hardware was rebooted and wireless access should now be available.

Unscheduled maintenance on the network electronics serving the Levitt Center unfortunately resulted in a network outage affecting the entire Levitt Center. The duration of the outage was approximately 30 minutes. CTS apologizes for the inconvenience at this already stressful time of the semester.
