ITEC has resolved the issue at the VTC data center. Banner/BearPAWS/BearDeN accessibility has been restored.
ITEC has reported an situation with the VTC data center which has rendered Banner/BearPAWS/BearDeN intermittently inaccessible. They are currently working on a solution to restore accessibility, and expect services to be restored shortly.
Banner 9 Admin Pages are now available. Please clear your browser cache (Chrome Incognito recommended) prior to accessing banner.potsdam.edu.
The interface to the Banner database via Banner 9 Admin Pages is currently down; however, the Banner 8 Forms are still working as they previously had. CTS is working on the problem and will update this site once the Banner 9 Admin Pages are working.
SICAS will be performing a fix this evening to fully correct the save issue. Doing so will take a significant amount of time and server resources, which is why SICAS is recommending it be performed off-hours.
For the rest of today, SICAS will be correcting individual instances of the save error. If you see this error, or have trouble saving and are unsure why, please email AIS with the form you are using and the error you are receiving. We will have SICAS run the fix for your specific issue.
There is currently a known issue affecting changes to data in Banner and BearPAWS. Upon attempting to save, you may receive the the following error (after which the data does not save):
ORA-04062: signature of package “PACKAGENAME” has been changed
We are currently working to remedy this issue, and hope to have all Banner forms and BearPAWS processes working shortly.
The issue with BearPAWS has been resolved, and it is now accessible.
BearPAWS is currently inaccessible. After logging in, you will experience a generic error and will be unable to proceed. Only BearPAWS is affected at this time. We are currently working to restore service and expect it to be up shortly.
ITEC will be patching the Production Banner database on Wednesday July 25th from 6:00-7:00am. During this time Banner/BearPAWS/BearDeN will be unavailable.
