Status Announcements

We are experiencing problems with our campus internet connection. Our service provider is aware of this issue and is working on resolving it.

Due to a staffing issue, the IT Service Desk will be closing at 430pm today Monday, March 3, 2025.

If you need evening support, the Technology Desk at the Lougheed Learning Commons will be staffed from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

ITEC will be performing OS and Infrastructure patching on Wednesday February 12, 2025, from 12:00am – 7:00am. During this time Banner, BearPAWS and BearDeN may be unavailable.

The migration to our new SUNY Potsdam Banner environment is complete. Please report any unexpected issues to the IT Service Desk at X4444 or itservicedesk@potsdam.edu.

ITEC will be migrating the SUNY Potsdam Banner environment to new servers Wednesday January 15, 2025 from 6:00am – 8:00am. During this time, Banner, BearPAWS and BearDeN will be unavailable. An update will be sent when the systems become available for use.

ITEC will be performing database patching on Monday January 6, 2025 from 6:00am – 8:00am. During this time Banner, BearPAWS and BearDeN will be unavailable.

CTS has completed firewall maintenance for 12/27/2024. Please report any issues to the IT Service Desk at X4444 or itservicedesk@potsdam.edu.

Computing & Technology Services (CTS) will be performing critical maintenance to the campus firewall on Friday, December 27, beginning at 6 pm. This will result in a brief loss of internet connection for the campus. Any active VPN sessions will be disconnected and need to be re-established after the update. An announcement will be posted on this blog when maintenance has concluded.
