On Wednesday, July 18 @ 9:00am, we will be changing our
Internet/Internet2 border policy to default deny. This fundamental
paradigm shift will block connection requests originating from the
Internet/Internet2, unless theyre destined for excluded systems. This
will go largely unnoticed by the vast majority of the campus computing
population.
On Wednesday and Thursday, all requests for exceptions will need to go
through Matthew Keller (kellermg@potsdam.edu). After Thursday, members
of ISTF in the Helpdesk and HNS groups will have access to make
exceptions for specific cases.
