CTS Announcements & Systems Status

Printing through the LORAX2 print server is currently unavailable. CTS is investigating the problem.

The maintenance window is closed. Authentication to all systems is working. If you have trouble accessing campus systems, inform the CTS HelpDesk: helpdesk@potsdam.edu or 315-267-4444. Leave contact info so we can follow up. 

CTS is beginning maintenance to several systems. It is not anticipated that this will take long. During this maintenance, login to Office 365, the campus web server, BearDEN, SUNY HR, and the Rave Alert Notification system may not function. If you are unexpectedly asked for your username and password while accessing these systems and your password does not work, please wait a few minutes and try again.
We will make an announcement when the maintenance window is closed and systems should be accessible again.

The on-campus web server “arachne” had a configuration issue, briefly affecting sites in the domains www2.potsdam.edu, wwwx.potsdam.edu, secure.potsdam.edu, and library.potsdam.edu.
CTS personnel have fixed the problem and service is now restored.
The main campus website at www.potsdam.edu was NOT affected.

The EMS System will be down Friday 11/4 from 4PM – 5PM , for a system upgrade.

ITEC will be performing maintenance tomorrow (Oct 27) from 5:00-7:00am. During this time Banner/BearPAWS/BearDeN will be unavailable.

CTS detected a rogue device connected to our network that was causing some devices to get incorrect network addresses. The device has been shut down. Anyone still having trouble getting online should re-boot their device.

Users should now be able to login to all systems.

We have many reports of user authentication issues with Outlook and other services and are investigating.

ITEC will be taking down production Banner servers for O/S firmware updates on February 24th, 2017 from 12:00am – 7:00am. During this time Banner, BearPAWS and BearDeN will be unavailable.
